SafetyNet will consult and work with children and their families referred by other community service agency, or on their own to obtain an understanding of their needs and develop a plan to remedy immediate concerns. Parents or youth living in the community will have access to SafetyNets emergency food bank, clothing bank, tutoring and music programs.
Parenting groups to manage behavioral issues in children or youths will be offered with the objective of remedying or preventing the negative conduct of the child or youth.
Emergency food bank:
SafetyNet offers a food bank for families struggling to make ends meet. The food bank will be composed of non-perishable foods and toiletries donated by the community. SafetyNet will be able to deliver food to families or independent youth that may not have the money, or access to transportation. Community groups can refer families they feel may need the support of the food bank.
Clothing bank:
Safetynet will have on hand a variety of clothes, from infant to adult, to help those who may be experiencing financial difficulties, and cannot afford clothing for themselves, or their families. This will include business suits for men and woman re-entering the work force, so that they may have proper attire for important employment interviews.
