**Note - due to COVID restrictions we are not taking on new volunteers right now.

Safetynet is looking for volunteers to assist in our clothing bank, furniture program,  and community clothing pick up. Volunteer opportunities include sorting clothing, assisting families, preparing kitchen items, and storing furniture. We also need people handy with mechanical aspects for simple bike repairs and furniture repair.

Commitment is once a week, minimal two hours, between the hours of 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Safetynet will work with potential volunteers to find hours that fit into your schedule.

We are also always looking for volunteer tutors and musical instructors. Safetynet believes that education is the way to break the cycles of poverty. All that is required to be a volunteer tutor, or music teacher, is a two hour commitment weekly. High school students welcome! Tutoring programs run 4:00 to 7:00 Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday mornings.

Arabic and Spanish are an extra asset that we often require to assist in translating for our refugee newcomers.

Contact us to talk about the volunteer opportunity that could work for you - in as little as a few hours a week!
