We offer free tutoring services to the families we serve.
Safetynet believes that assisting children and youth with their educational needs is key to breaking the cycle of poverty.
Through the use of volunteers, Safetynet provides free tutoring to children and youth experiencing difficulties with their schoolwork.
Where does tutoring take place?
Tutoring takes place at our dedicated Tutoring Centre at 550 Bronte Rd. Oakville and is provided one-to-one with each student.
In-person tutoring hours are Mon, Wed & Fridays 5:00-7:00pm, Sat 10:30-12:30.
An online option is also offered.
How do I register my child for tutoring services?

How do I volunteer to be a tutor?
Tutors must be at least in grade 9 and those 18 years of age or older are required to provide a vulnerable sector police check obtained within the last 3 years (or be willing to apply for one). Opportunities for online or in person tutoring are available.
