Who We Are
-
To empower vulnerable families in our community by breaking the cycle of poverty and alleviating its daily stress.
-
To break the cycle of poverty for children, youth, and families across Halton and surrounding communities by building a comprehensive safety net that provides immediate stability, educational growth, and long-term community strength:
Basic Needs — Providing a critical safety net of free, gently-used clothing, furniture, housewares, and daily necessities to families living in poverty.
Education — Lifting youth out of poverty by advancing their potential through free academic tutoring and music instruction.
Wellness — Strengthening family dynamics through free family counselling to build a more resilient and supportive home environment.
Our Environmental Impact: As a byproduct of our mission, we proudly keep 400 tons of goods out of landfills each year.
-
Respect
We believe every interaction deserves mutual respect — between our team, our partners, and the families we serve.
Inclusion
We welcome and serve everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, religion, or background.
Dignity
We meet families without judgment and ensure every person feels respected and proud, never ashamed, in receiving our help.
Generosity
We give fully and without hesitation, reflecting the spirit of the donors and volunteers who make our work possible.
Integrity
We are honest, transparent, and accountable in how we operate, spend donations, and report our impact.
Sustainability
We operate responsibly for the long term — environmentally (keeping goods out of landfill) and organizationally (building a charity families can rely on for years to come).
